People still gather there today to celebrate these events, blending ancient traditions with modern appreciation for the changing seasons. Across Asia, the spring and autumn equinoxes are integrated into cultural calendars, such as Japan’s Shunbun no Hi and Shūbun no Hi, public holidays that honor nature and the cycle of life.

Equinoxes also hold symbolic value, representing balance, renewal, and transition. Many spiritual practices use these times to reflect on personal growth and the harmony between light and dark.
